BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Bloomington Bison President Andy Zilch announced today the promotional schedule for the 2026-27 season, which features brand new promotions and returning fan favorites.
Bison promotional nights highlight the intersection of sports, entertainment and community enrichment. Kids will receive a free meal at every Sunday game, and every Friday home game will feature 309 Night deals- $3 Busch Lights and sodas, $0 popcorn and $9 specialty T-shirts. Many games are slated to recognize and honor important groups, while others will feature collectible giveaway items.
The third season of Bison Hockey kicks off with Opening Night on Saturday, October 17, when fans will receive a rally towel courtesy of Leman Chevy City, and the first month of the season also includes by Redbird Family Night presented by Illinois State Credit Union.
November is headlined by the Impossible Pair Night against the Indy Fuel, during which each team will wear jerseys with an inverted color scheme. Further details will be announced at a later date.
The annual Teddy Bear Toss is on Saturday, December 5, and the next weekend on Sunday, December 13, the ZOOperstars! bring their antics to Grossinger Motors Arena. The final month of the calendar year rolls along with a stocking giveaway on Hockey & Holidays Night, which is on Friday, December 18, and concludes on Sunday, December 27, when the team will celebrate the Margaritaville lifestyle.
During the first full week of 2026, Bloomington will recognize its new affiliation with the Winnipeg Jets by wearing specialty jerseys on Friday, January 8 and travel to a galaxy far, far, away with Star Wars Night presented by Rivian on Saturday, January 9, which will feature a special giveaway.
January’s action-packed schedule continues with Agriculture Night presented by Evergreen FS, CHI-Town Night featuring a special guest and Abe’s Birthday Bash.
In the final two full months of the season, the Bison pack even more new nights onto the docket including Dollar Beer Night presented by Michelob ULTRA, Shrek Night, which will feature themed jerseys, ‘80s Night, which will conclude with a post-game concert from Decade of Decadence, STL Night featuring a special guest and more.
Iconic Bison promotions including First Responders Night presented by Country Financial (the Guns & Hoses charity game will be played beforehand), Education Day Game, Women in Sports, Hockey is for Everyone, featuring a community specialty jersey, Military Appreciation Night and more will also be returning bigger and better than ever.
