Andy Zilch
Andy has 14 years of experience in professional hockey and has an array of front office experience ranging from corporate partnership sales, ticket sales, community relations communications and marketing responsibilities. He joined the Bison in September and served as the Director of Media Relations and Broadcasting while calling all 36 home games on FloSportsTV and the Bison Audio Network.
He previously worked in the AHL for nine seasons between the San Diego Gulls, Utica Comets and Springfield Falcons. While with the Gulls, he was the play-by-play broadcaster for all games and digital content producer and host for the team’s social media channels and television show. During his tenure with the Comets, he negotiated multiple corporate partnership deals while overseeing the Jr. Comets mentorship program and serving as the Director of Communications and the voice of the Comets for all games. In his two seasons with the Springfield Falcons, Andy generated corporate partnership deals, sold season ticket memberships, coordinated nearly 60 community events and broadcasted all games.
The St. Louis native began his professional career in the ECHL with the Greenville Road Warriors in 2012 where he was tasked as the Media Relations Manager and was responsible for ticket revenue. Over the summer of 2014, he finished first of seven sales executives in full, half and partial ticket memberships. In addition, he finished among seven sales executives over the 2013-14 regular season in memberships and group sales. He also negotiated budget-reliving trade arrangements for two consecutive years as well as broadcasted every regular season game.
Andy has displayed a strong passion for community involvement over his career. This past season, he made visits to local youth hockey practices as well as elementary schools in the area. He has volunteered for charities and participated in community events such as the Habitat for Humanity, the Shriner’s Hospital, the Western Mass Sled Hockey Team and at elementary schools focusing on PARP (Parents as Reading Partners) to encourage young students the importance of reading.
Before his professional career, Andy earned a bachelor’s degree in 2009 at Lindenwood University.

Melissa Mays
Melissa is a Bloomington native and joined the team in March of 2025. She received her bachelor’s degree from Columbia College in Columbia, MO. Melissa is excited to bring her accounting experience to her role with the Bison. In her free time, she enjoys baking and spending time with her family. Melissa is looking forward to cheering on the Bison for many years to come!

Greg Zook
Greg Zook brings sales, marketing, and leadership experience to the Bison, along with long-time community roots and service in Bloomington. Over the last 30 years, Greg has achieved results through advertising, regional, or wholesale manager positions in a variety of industries. Greg serves in his church, helped to start two youth football programs, and has coached several youth teams over the years. He graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in Industrial Marketing. Greg is an avid hockey fan and served as the public address announcer for the Bloomington Prairie Thunder.

David Casey
Dave’s formerly of Scranton, Pennsylvania, known by many as the home of The Office (even though it wasn't filmed there). He spent eight seasons working with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the AHL, five as an Account Executive and three as Director of Group Sales. Dave graduated from California University of Pennsylvania in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management and a minor in Business Administration. In his free time, Dave enjoys listening to music, attending professional sporting events & concerts, and exploring the 250+ restaurants in the Bloomington-Normal area!

Maddie Gann
Maddie is from Wheaton, Illinois and earned her Bachelor’s degree at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. Before coming to the Bison, Maddie worked a season for the Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks Double-A affiliates. Maddie has experience in marketing and social media not only in the sports realm, but also the sales and law industries. In her free time, Maddie enjoys reading, cooking, and cheering on the Chicago Blackhawks and Nashville Predators!
Maddie is beyond excited to help build the brand of the Bloomington Bison during their inaugural season and many seasons to follow!

David Galli
David is from Bozeman, Montana and earned his Bachelor’s degree at Boise State University in Boise, Idaho. Before coming to the Bison, David has worked as the Director of Game Operations with the Idaho Steelheads in the ECHL. David has also directed professional MMA, college basketball, high school basketball, and arena football in addition to hockey. In his free time, David enjoys to ski, travel, attend sporting events, and play hockey. He is thrilled to bring new ideas and elements to the game presentation for Bison fans!

Maddie Keefe
Maddie is a proud native of Bloomington, Illinois, known to locals as a “townie”. She attended Illinois State University graduating with a bachelor's in 2021. Maddie loves to travel to new places, cheer on the Cubs at Wrigley Field, and dive into the latest Netflix series with her cat, Uno, by her side. Maddie looks forward to connecting with the community this season and having a new team to cheer on!

Matt Phipps
Matt enters his 2nd season with the Bison and 12th year in professional hockey. A Bloomington native, he played youth hockey and started in hockey ops as a stick-boy for the Bloomington PrairieThunder in 2007. He’s worked in hockey ops roles in the UHL, IHL, CHL, SPHL, and AHL in Bloomington, Danville, and Peoria. Matt came to us as the Asst. GM at Johnston’s Hockey Skate/Pro Shop, downtown Bloomington.

When Matt isn’t in our stores, he loves traveling with his wife, Jazmyne, daughters Sterling and Emersyn, and their Beagle Black Lab mix, Pozie.

Jonathon Rubin
Jonathon is from Port Saint Lucie, Florida but attended college in New York at Dominican University, where he played on the Men’s Soccer team all four years. Jonathon recently graduated in May 2024 and earned his bachelor's degree in business administration. In his free time, Jonathon enjoys watching all types of sports, listening to music, and going to the driving range!

Russell Lang
Russell is from Scranton, Pennsylvania, and attended Penn State University with a dual-major in Marketing and Management. His sales experience began as an entry-level door to door Sales Representative but was promoted to Account Manager in just six weeks. A couple years later he earned a license to sell Home, Auto, Life, and Health for State Farm Insurance, before making his way to Bloomington. In his leisure time, he enjoys watching all types of sports, attending concerts, and cooking. He lucked-out because the Bloomington Bison are affiliated with his favorite NHL team, the NY Rangers!

Savanna Sykes
Savanna is originally from Millsboro, Delaware and earned her Bachelor of Science from Oklahoma State University in December 2023. She previously worked with the Memphis Redbirds, where she gained hands-on experience as a game day operations intern and a sales associate over two seasons. Savanna is an avid traveler, college sports enthusiast, and enjoys spending time with her service dog, Pistol.

Jason Proot
Jason is from Washington Township, New Jersey, and attended Florida State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management. During his time at FSU, Jason played on the club ice hockey team and served as the team’s president. In his free time, he enjoys cheering on his Florida State Seminoles and New York Rangers.
