BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Bloomington Bison Head Coach and VP of Hockey Operations Phillip Barski announced today that the team has signed defensemen Dylan Finlay and Tyler Rubin, and forward Andrew Petruk to standard player contracts for the 2026-27 season.

Finlay, 24, posted nine assists in 34 games at Northeastern University last season after beginning his collegiate play at the University of Alaska-Anchorage.

The L'Île-Bizard, Quebec native served as captain for the British Columbia Hockey League’s Powell River Kings during the 2021-22 season and registered 22 points (6g-16a) in 49 games. Finlay also played 40 games with the River Kings during the 2019-20 season and tallied 18 assists.

In between his two seasons in the BCHL, the 6-foot-2, 192-pound blue liner joined the North American Hockey League’s Maryland Black Bears and skated in 33 regular season games. After scoring two goals and nine assists in the regular season, Finlay added two goals and two assists in eight playoff games.

Rubin, 23, recently finished his collegiate career after four seasons at Princeton University, where he amassed 39 points (10g-29a) and a +9 rating in 103 NCAA Division-I games. He recorded career-bests in assists (13), points (16) and plus-minus (+15).

Prior to attending college, the 5-foot-10, 174-pound Wayland, Massachusetts product earned a spot on the 2021-22 BCHL All-Rookie Team after notching 34 points (8g-26a) in 50 games with the West Kelowna Warriors. He concluded the season with two assists in 14 playoff games and the Warriors finished in the semi-finals.

Petruk, 21, has skated in 170 Major-Junior games with the WHL’s Everett Silvertips, Kelowna Rockets and Lethbridge Hurricanes since the beginning of the 2022-23 season.

The 6-foot-4, 209-pound Surrey, British Columbia native amassed 29 points (12g-17a) and 295 penalty minutes in the WHL and also recorded five points (4g-1a) and 72 penalty minutes in 23 BCHL games.
